About this event

Exploring Masculinity and Tackling Misogyny is a new Brook professional training that aims to provide professionals with the knowledge and confidence to raise young people’s awareness of gender stereotypes and their impact, and to empower professionals with practical RSE skills and tools to develop young people’s critical engagement with online and offline misogyny.

By the end of the training, attendees will be able to:

• Describe the harm gender stereotypes cause young people of all genders

• Define misogyny and give examples of how it affects young people

• Understand the impact of digital content on young people’s gender norms and values

• Explain the push and pull factors that attract young people towards extreme ideologies

• Feel confident in raising young people’s critical engagement with misogynistic content

• Know of classroom activities and tips for facilitating safe exploration of masculinity and misogyny
